The Flower Garden is booming at the moment. The heritage beans have come up and are growing very quickly. So have the onions. The rainy and sunny weather has been fantastic for the plants. Howard Erb paid a visit to the house to plant some flowers around the perimeter of the building and also to provide farmer Flower with some valuable tips about growing vegetables.
We’ve received some new merchandise for the gift shop: wood shakerboxes from The Barn in Bloomfield, weaving from the Loomcrofters, blankets/aprons/oven mitts from A Needle Pulling Thread, knitting from Violet Appleby, and new ironwork. It’s a wonder we can get everything to fit in the summer kitchen!
